I am an advocate of a Simple Church.
A Simple Church is designed around a straightforward and strategic process that moves people through the stages of spiritual growth.
Stage One of the process is Worship… where guests, new people, and non believers enter the church. It is also where believers draw close to God through meaningful worship and dynamic biblical preaching. Disciplined Disciples don’t miss worship.
Stage Two of the process is Bible Study…where people intentionally build interpersonal relationships centered in a study of God’s Word that grows Disciplined Disciples.
Stage Three of the process is Serving The World. Ministry Teams of Disciplined Disciples, formed through Bible Study, serve God by serving the others. Some ministry teams reach out into the community in a variety of ways. Other ministry teams exist to welcome the community into the church. The purpose is not to grow church membership, but to grow the Kingdom of God.
One church diagrams the process as Worship – Learn – Serve. Another describes it as In – Up – Out.
Transformation happens as churches commit to worshipping – learning – serving.
Your worshipping, learning, serving Interim Pastor,
