December 2008 God has a message for us. It is simple and profound. “I love you!” God, in total freedom, has decided to love us. The message is as simple as three words and as profound as the Son of God being born among us. Jesus is the revelation of God’s unending, unconditional love for us as human beings. Everything that Jesus has done, said, and undergone is meant to show us that the love we most long for is given to us by God. Not because we deserve it, but because God is a God of love. When bad things happen are happening to you, or if you have been praying and wondering what is going to happen next, unwrap this message and keep it close at hand. God says, “I love you”, and He always has your good in mind. Jesus is God’s most radical attempt to convince us that everything we long for is indeed given to us. Enjoy this Christmas season and expectation of hope. Because in whatever condition God finds you, He will pull you forward when you trust that love of God in your heart.
